On June 26, 2026 D.C. new superhero movie will be released into theaters titled Supergirl. This movie is a sequel to the movie Superman that came nearly a year ago. 

The movie as a whole is heavily based on the DC comic book series titled Women of Tomorrow that was released in 2021 and ended in 2022.

The main cast of Supergirl is Milly Alcock, Matthias Schenaerts, Jason Momoa, Eve Rideley and David Corenswet who is Superman in the original film.

Alcock has been in multiple other movies like Superman, Siren, House of The Dragon Upright, The Familiars and The School.  

Schoenaerts has worked on projects like Bullhead, Rust and Bone, Red Sparrow, The Danish Girl, The Regime, The Loft, and Far From The Madding Crowd. 

Supergirl is being directed by Carig Gillespie and was made under Warner Bros Picture studio.

The movie is set to have a prequel that comes out in 2027 titled Man Of Tomorrow. 

WJPS 12th grader Joseph Larocca, “I’m excited for the new movie because Superman was my favorite superhero as a kid and I’m probably going to see it with my brother.”

WJPS ninth grader Abel Cartagena stated, “I’m excited because DC is my favorite superhero universe and I really liked the Superman movie.”
