After six come from behind wins throughout the playoffs, the Kansas City Royals (95-67) were crowned as the Fall Classics Champions. After losing last years World Series, against the San Francisco Giants, the Royals grinded through the 162 game season and came up with their second title. The last time they won the world series was 30 years ago.
Let’s give the New York Mets (90-72) some credit as well. They stunned the league by winning the N.L. Eastern Division, then beat the L.A. Dodgers and the heavily favorites to win it all the Chicago Cubs in the N.L. Division series and N.L. Championship series.
“The Royals were hungry after losing last years World Series, they capitalized on the Mets mistakes and are now crowned champions,” junior Norman Carmona said.
After the 2015 season came to an end Ben Zobrist named his daughter Blaise Royal Zobrist adding another addition to the Royal family.
The Mets will have a chance of getting revenge on the Royals on opening day when they face them to start the 2016 season.
