With the calendar soon flipping over to Spring, baseball season is back for Francis Lewis.

The first scheduled game is March 19th where Francis Lewis will take on John Bowne High School.

There are 16 games scheduled on the season so far as the regular season will wrap up May 14th and then playoffs if the team qualifies.

14 members on this Francis Lewis roster will be returning from last year and four new spots have opened up rounding it up to a 18 player roster.

Including WJPS 11th graders Dylan Chimento and Jacob Juarez. 

Francis Lewis finished last year 12-2 and placed first in their division. The team lost in their first round to George Washington High School to end their season. 

WJPS 11th grader and team manager Maxwell Sanz stated, “It was definitely disappointing to see us go down in the first round last year. We had a great season last year and was not great when they lost in the first round.” 

WJPS 11th grader Aly Abdelhalem stated, “We’ll see if they can have a better season this year and make it further in the playoffs.”
