Although the Super Bowl has now passed some are looking to the next one, mainly because of the date it falls on in 2027.
Next year, the Super Bowl and its halftime show will fall on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. The game will be held in Inglewood, California at SoFi Stadium.
Not only does the Super Bowl fall on Valentine’s Day, it also coincides with Presidents’ Day weekend allowing for some fans to enjoy the day after the Super Bowl without going to work or school.
WJPS 11th grader, Max Sanz said, “The date of the Super Bowl allows my family and me to have a party since the next day we have off.”
WJPS 11th grader, Alexis Moncada said, “I think they should schedule big sports events coinciding with national holidays more often like World Series or the NBA Finals. I feel as if that would make watching these events more exciting because people don’t have to worry about waking up early the next day.”
