Uber Eats is now joining the long list of companies using AI to help improve their customers’ experience, with their latest AI assistant helping users fill their grocery cart.
This assistant essentially helps you pick out your groceries based on your last choices from previous orders, like what types of cereal, drinks, or snacks you bought.
In order for users to get started, they need to select the new “Cart Assistant” icon when searching for any grocery store.
They can then send their grocery list to the AI assistant, and it will add all the items listed directly to your shopping cart.
All users can access the feature on the Uber Eats app, but it’s not required.
WJPS teacher Ms. Mills said, “I know many people are going to take advantage of this. It’s an easier and faster way to get your grocery shopping done.”
WJPS 12th grader Johnathon Honya said, “I’m 50/50 on this. Yes, it’s quicker, but at the same time, I don’t think we should rely on AI for doing something simple like grocery shopping.”
