Pop star Miley Cyrus will be releasing her ninth studio album on May 30th. This upcoming album is named Something Beautiful, and will be a visual album comprising 13 total tracks.

Cyrus is known for pop, rock, and country styles of music, and has been in the music industry dating all the way back to 2007 under her debut album, Meet Miley Cyrus.

She won 2024 Grammy awards for Best Solo Pop Performance and Record of the Year for her song Flowers. 

Alongside her album’s release, it will also be releasing with a film which is set to premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 6th. The film is being marketed as a pop opera, and is directed by Miley Cyrus herself, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter.

WJPS ninth grader Kennedy Ng stated, “I’ve never really listened to her music, but I think the fact she’s releasing both a movie and an album is pretty cool.”

The label for the album will be under Columbia Records.

WJPS 12th grader Kyle Nagele said, “I remember when I was younger I used to hear that one Wrecking Ball song from her a lot. It brings back memories.”
