Money is a great thing to have, and can bring happiness to many people. Although this is the case for some people, others find happiness with no money involved.
Being with family and/or friends, doing what you enjoy most, or simply going on a walk can bring happiness and involve no money whatsoever. Yes, money can be enjoyable to spend and can make you feel cheerful and excited, but over time spending no money is where you find happiness the most.
According to forbes.com, “People earning more money tend to be happier than those making less, but how money affects happiness varies by individual, which means there’s an overlap in happiness among people at various income levels.”
Money can buy happiness but it cannot always fill the void of the upsetting feeling you may have; it’s likely to only be temporary.
WJPS 12th grader John Mihalios said, “Money can buy happiness by giving you things that you want, but also it cannot buy you other things like friends and family which is true happiness.”
WJPS 12th grader Camryn Chan said, “Money cannot buy you happiness because even if you feel upset and buy something that you wanted it could never make that feeling go away permanently.”
