Two brothers Lyle Menendez and Eric Menendez were convicted of murdering their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez in their Beverly Hills home. They have been serving life in prison since 1990.
This case has resurfaced on Netflix with a TV show and documentaries sharing the brother’s stories, “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” and “The Menendez Brothers.”
These shows and documentaries depict the brother’s life before the murders and the trials leading up to their sentence.
The public has been reintroduced to this case, with many opinions online scattered around on the verdict of this case.
According to ABC News, “Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Jesic scheduled a Dec. 11 hearing to consider a petition filed by the District Attorney’s Office asking that the brothers be resentenced.”
