On March 13th there will be a new book to movie adaptation releasing in theaters. This adaptation is based on the novel Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover.

The book is about a woman who has been recently let out of prison after being involved in a drunk driving accident that killed her then boyfriend. As she returns to society she tries to fix things between her and her daughter and manage a new relationship with her boyfriend’s best friend.

The main cast of this film is Maika Monroe, Rudy Pankow, Tyriq Withers, Lauren Graham, and Lainey Wilson.

Maika Monroe has worked on projects like It Follows, The 5th Wave, Longlegs, Watcher, Hot Summer Nights, Bokeh, and Independence Day : Resurgence.

Rudy Pankow has done many projects such as Outer Banks, Accidental Texan, VIRGO, Uncharted, The Crusades, and 5Ibs of Pressure.

Tyriq Withers has been in multiple other projects like Him, Tell Me Lies, Senior Year, Horror Noire, Atlanta, and has worked on the reboots of I Know What You Did Last Summer and Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead.

Reminders of Him was written by Colleen Hoover who has already had two of her other books turned into movies and another coming out later this year.

Those book to movie adaptations include It End With Us, Regretting You, and Verity that comes out later this year.

WJPS 12th grader Dayana Marquez stated, “I am so excited for the movie to come out. I read the book and loved it. It’s filled with emotion and I can imagine the movie.“

WJPS 12th grader Johanne Castrejon stated, “I have not yet read the book, but I have heard about the movie coming out so I might read the book, it seems exciting.”
