December 25th marks the release of Stranger Things season five, volume two.
Stranger Things is a show about teenagers in the 1980s facing supernatural threats. Due to the setting, the writers have incorporated many aspects of the 80s, including songs like, Should I Stay or Should I Go, Running Up that Hill, and Upside Down.
Season five is set to be the final season of this series that was originally released in 2016. Due to this, many original fans of the show have grown up with these characters.
WJPS 12th grader Daniela Vicente said, “I am so excited for volume two. I started watching the show when I was in elementary school and now I’m a senior. This feels like a full circle moment.”
Additionally, a month prior to this was the release of volume one, in which four episodes were released.
WJPS 12th grader Giselle Nunez added, “I’m really excited to see the second half of the season, especially after being left with such a major cliffhanger. Who knows how it will go, but I just can’t wait.”
The final episode and series finale will be released on December 31st.
