Milan, Italy, will host the 2026 Winter Olympics, marking a milestone as the city welcomes the event that happens every four years for the first time.
The games will take place across a variety of venues, including Milan’s urban arenas and the alpine landscapes of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
With athletes from around the world set to compete in events ranging from skiing and snowboarding to figure skating, the Winter Olympics will feature over 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries.
The Milano Cortina Winter Olympics are scheduled to take place from February 6th to 22nd, 2026.
WJPS sixth grader Liam Saide said, “I didn’t know it was coming up, but I’m excited for it.”
WJPS 11th grader Natalie Derosa said, “I’m very excited. I look forward to it, and I watch it with my family, especially ice skating.”
As the games approach, many will be watching Milan’s progress and readiness.
