You can see the lit Rockefeller Christmas tree from now until mid-January.
The lighting ceremony was December 3rd from 7pm-10pm.
The tree came from East Greenbush, New York and arrived on Center Plaza on November 8th.
This year the Christmas tree is 75 feet high, which is taller than last year.
The New York City Rockefeller Christmas tree has been an annual tradition since 1931.
50,000 LED lights are used to light up the tree and a 900 pound star from Swarovski is placed on top.
The star is designed by architect Daniel Libeskind.
There are more than three million crystals on the designed star, while covering over 70 spikes.
WJPS 12th grader Giselle Nunez said, “I really think that the Rockefeller tree is one of the highlights of the holiday season. Seeing the tree in the past was always an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see it again this year.”
WJPS 12th grader Jack Annibale said, “If I was to go to Manhattan around this time, the Rockefeller tree would definitely be a sight worth seeing.”
