Resident Evil: Survival Unit is a new survival-horror strategy video game that has recently been released on the app store.
Resident Evil has traditionally been a video game franchise created by the studio Capcom and was only available to play on consoles and PCs. The franchise revolves around a zombie outbreak and the secrets hidden behind major organizations.
This new rendition is the first in the series available to play for free on iOS.
WJPS 12th grader Daniela Vicente said, “I appreciate how the game is more accessible now, anybody with a phone can play it with no additional costs.”
The new video game was created by a different studio named Aniplex and follows a fresh protagonist as they endure the zombie apocalypse. Characters from the previous games in the series make appearances and play roles in the plot’s development.
WJPS 12th grader Nicholas Zubovic said, “I was pretty excited to see a new Resident Evil game coming to mobile, but once I installed it, I realized how different it was from the series I loved as a kid. Honestly, I walked away pretty disappointed.”
