The suspenseful movie is among those offered in Spanish on on Netflix. The release was delayed due to negative audience response and then again due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it was in the top 10 on Netflix when it was released.
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, “Anna Fox (Amy Adams) is an agoraphobic child psychologist who spends her time looking out the window at the perfect family who lives across the street from her house in New York. Her life is turned upside down when she accidentally witnesses a horrific crime.”
This is a psychological thriller based on the best-selling novel by AJ Finn that Tracy Letts adapted for the screen.
WJPS guidance aide, Ms. Muriel said, “I was excited about the movie after I read the book. I feel so excited to see it in a movie instead of in my head imagining the scene. It was such a good book.”
Nicole Da Silva, a WJPS sophomore said, “Loved the movie, the acting was superior, not a boring moment twist and turns made this movie wonderful to watch. I have watched this movie many times. Amy Adams was exceptional in the movie. The casting was perfect.”
There was a lot of criticism about this movie, but it also had an audience who loved the film, and it was successful despite the delay.
