Continuing with the New York trend, Point Guard Jarrett Jack from the Brooklyn Nets is this weeks priority pickup after consistent performances.
Jack recently has been the starting point guard for the Brooklyn Nets due to Point Guard Deron Williams’ rib injury.
Despite the fact that Brooklyn has been struggling heavily as of late, Jack continues to be the lone bright spot for his team.
Jack has a great upside in terms of his assists, points, steals and treys. While his turnovers may sometimes be an eye-opener, players and owners alike cannot ignore his consistency and hard work everytime he plays. This is why Jack is a must-start player.
“I absolutely love seeing Jarrett Jack play Basketball. He’s basically the only person worth watching for the Nets because their entire team isn’t really exciting. I hope that he remains a starter for the team because Deron Williams hasn’t been himself as of late,” senior Xavier Angulo said.
Jack had a career game last week against the Toronto Raptors in a losing effort. He played a career high in minutes with another career high in points 35 along with eight rebounds and 13 dimes.
In addition, he was instrumental in Brooklyn snapping their home loss streak against the Los Angeles Clippers by shooting an amazing game winner.
“It’s gratifying, I think, to go through the bumps and the bruises and then to kind of get off the schneid in the fashion that we did against a really special team,” Jack said.
Jack currently averages 12 points, five assists, and 1.2 steals, as well as playing for an average of 30.2 minutes per game.
Most fantasy waivers (dropped players from Fantasy owners teams) still have Jack on it, which is a huge disappointment. Jack can and will be a great contributor to any team due to the many benefits he will bring.
There are many frontrunners or a potential pickup for Week 15 as Fantasy Basketball is reaching its climax as the playoffs approach. Pickups will be the most crucial for teams as they vie for playoff seeding and contention.
