High school seniors are hosting a sports night. On April 21st at 6:30PM, teachers will verse students in a basketball game. Tickets are sold for $3 dollars during high school lunch and will be sold for $5 at the door.
Students who were interested in participating had to sign up with Mr. Maroney or Mr. Angeles in the school’s gym. Students were chosen randomly through lottery.
“I’m doing a lot of practicing, going to the park and practicing my shooting, making sure my jumpshot is right for sports night,” junior Mohammed Shah said.
Participants further reveals how they are going to prepare for the night.
“I’m working on my agressive talking. I’m looking forward to blocking Mr. Reff and Mr. Myrtil because they think they’re better than me,” senior Amr Mohammed said.
“I haven’t been practicing. I’m really looking forward to playing Mr.Reff and Mr.Myrtil. I know Reff is hard to guard,” eighth grader Aidan Zeitner said.
