As the end of the year approaches, seniors get ready to prepare their senior portfolios. Seniors have a mandatory portfolio conference with the principal and a few teachers to show what they learned and gained over the years.
“I would want to know what they are exactly looking for, but I’m just going to give it my best and show them what I accomplished, so I can graduate,” senior Randy Charter said.
Students are to gather work they are proud of and work they have improved on.
“I look for enduring understandings that have significantly impacted the student’s point of view and/or knowledge base. I look for our students to speak eloquently and with a professional tone. I always enjoy hearing how their ideas and perspective has shifted throughout their time here at WJPS,” IEP teacher Mr. Petrotta said.
Conferences will occur after school on Tuesdays. Seniors will be updated more as it gets closer to the conferences.
“My advice to the underclassmen would be to save all your work in folders because when it comes time to present their portfolios, it will be a lot easier to find and organize their work,” senior Calli Atamian said.
