This year, WJPS will be hosting an end of the year school carnival, which will be held in the big schoolyard on June 5th.
Donations are welcome to help provide a fun and memorable experience for everyone.
To donate, send cash or a check in an envelope labeled “PTA Carnival” to the main office, or make a donation online through the WJPS PTA link in the grade announcements streams in Google Classroom.
WJPS PTA member Barbara Melissinos said, “We are having several inflatables, and a dunk tank that will be run by student government volunteers, charging a small fee. Teachers and some seniors have already volunteered to be dunked. There will also be a photo booth, music, hot dogs, popcorn, and ices. It is going to be split up into two sessions. The morning session will be for middle school and the afternoon session will be for high school.”
As the event date gets closer, the PTA is also asking for parent/guardian volunteers and donations of items such as coolers, tents, and drinks.
WJPS eighth grader Gianna Nuñez said, “I’m really excited for the carnival. It’s nice to have something to look forward to.”
