On May 20th, the projects of the WJPS high school art club and middle schoolers were on display around the school for family and friends to come see.
Ms. Meneses has annually held this showcase for the past five years; however, this year she was joined by Mx./Ms. Lang.
Meneses said, “I feel proud watching these kids happily show off their artwork. They’ve worked hard the whole school year to have it shown.,”
Artwork was posted up all throughout the third floor hallways showing off each student’s work allowing it to be recognized.
Meneses stated, “We hold this showcase around the same time every year during the spring because it wraps up the school year.”
WJPS 11th grader Natalie Derosa stated, “I feel proud of the outcome and the work I have on display.”
WJPS high schoolers like Natalie are a part of the high school art club, which is a way for 10th-12th graders to be a part of this showcase because art class isn’t available to them.
The high school art club welcomes all newcomers. If you are interested in joining see Ms. Meneses in room 352.
