Wolf Week has ended after four events throughout the week at WJPS.
On Monday it started with the esports tournament and each grade had a team. Each grade played each other once. It ended with the 12th grade and the middle school in the final.The 12th grade came out victorious.
12th grader Wendell Quilang stated ’’It was very fun to be a part of this because it’s one of my favorite games to play and I get to play in front of my friends.’’
On Tuesday was the trivia tournament with each grade having four participants per team. At the end of the games at the top of the standings it was all of the middle school and the runner up was 12th grade.
12th grader Luka Zubovic said, “It was nice to see that the whole school came together to make these events happen.’’
On Wednesday it was the mural contest, and the theme was movie genres and each grade got assigned a topic to do based on the theme. In the end the 11th grade won the event.
On Thursday the volleyball tournament took place. Each grade had seven to eight players on the team and they battled it out. In the end for the first time ever in WJPS history there was a three way tie between 9th,10th and 12th grades.
All three had a record of 3-1 and they played a beach volleyball 2v2 theme to settle the tie. 9th and 10th won their games to play in the final. At the end the 10th grade came out with the win.
On Friday it was the awards ceremony to know who was taking the Wolf Week championship belt. In the end, it was the entire middle school who took it home.
