On May 5th, 2022, parents were sent an email stating that World Journalism Preparatory School had three confirmed COVID-19 cases. The email arrived late in the afternoon from the NYC Department of Buildings.
This email came not too long before the students who went on the senior trip received an email stating that someone tested positive for COVID-19 and may have exposed us to the illness. As a result, World Journalism Preparatory School students received at-home COVID-19 tests.
Testing is still going on in the building, and if you need a take-home test, you can go to the office to get a kit.
