Apple has revealed new products in the AirPods and MacBook Pro series, which have recently been released.
The third generation of AirPods will last for six hours on one charge. They can be recharged with the carrying case up to four times, allowing a total of 30 hours of listening. The $179 AirPods also come with a free case engraving when ordered online.
The redesigned MacBook Pros contain Apple’s new M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, which will supposedly surpass the standards of competitor computers, based on Apple’s statements. The price of the new MacBooks starts at $1,999. In addition to this, the MacOS Monterey operating system is now available for Mac computers.
Other products revealed include new color options for HomePod Mini, Apple’s smart speaker that utilizes Siri. The virtual assistant has also come to Apple Music, in a $4.99 audio-only subscription that allows you to navigate the streaming service using only your voice.
Nicholas Martinez, a senior at WJPS said, “The new products released sound interesting, but seem to be overpriced.”
Another senior at WJPS, Samuel Park said, “Apple is known for high-quality products, but despite this, everything announced at the event was pretty underwhelming.”
