The doors of WJPS opened on September 21st for blended learning. Groups of students who chose blended have certain days online or in-person. Students are expected to social distance outside and when entering the building.
Although the amount of students is greatly reduced, health screenings and temperature checks are taken daily. Masks and hand sanitizer are also provided. Yet, on October 12th a case of coronavirus was announced on the Adrien Block campus.
Students are still in session, yet how do they feel about their safety?
Cayla Jordan, a WJPS junior, expressed, βI feel fine because staff takes health screenings and temperature checks.β
Isabella Perez, a WJPS freshman, shared βIn-person learning definitely feels safe and I feel like it is unlikely for some infection to occur with all the precautions that have been taken in order to avoid any further spread of the virus, I definitely feel super safe.β
Ultimately the answer for every student is different, and taking precautions is always priority.
