The Grammy’s were held on February 15, 2016, at the Staple Center in Los Angeles. There were many performances such as Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar. However, one performance that stood out was Lady Gaga’s who performed a tribute to the late David Bowie.

The previous months have brought the deaths of several famous musicians including Lemmy Kilmister frontman of the band Motörhead  and David Bowie known for his different styles along the length of his career, most notably his alter-ego Ziggy Stardust.

The Grammys will be honoring at least two of them with tributary performances. Rolling Stone reports that the rock and roll supergroup, The Hollywood Vampires, consisting of Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, and Guns N’ RosesDuff McKagan, among others are planning a special performance in honor of Kilmister. The band doesn’t know  what song they are going to perform just yet, but Cooper is personally rooting for “Ace of Spades” to be played.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has been booked to perform a medley of David Bowie songs at the Grammys. According to The New York Times, Gaga will perform solo, although she will have a segment musical director.

“It’s going to be a true homage to who David was, particularly musically, but not ignoring his influence on fashion and pop culture in a broader way,” Grammy producer Ken Ehlrich said.

The 2016 Grammys will take place on Monday, February 15th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Other confirmed performers include Kendrick Lamar, Adele, and The Weeknd.
