The Bad Guys 2, is set to release this summer. Based on the Bad Guys book series, the movie continues the story of a group of animal criminals, led by Mr. Wolf, who are trying to reform after their past life of crime.

In the first film, the group attempted a heist that caused them to reconsider their actions and work together to save the city from a horde of mind controlled guinea pigs. The sequel picks up with the group facing a new mission that tests their skills and cooperation.

The movie’s cast has actors from the previous movie, including Sam Rockwell, Awkwafina, and Marc Maron, who voice main characters. The movie is directed by Pierre Perifel.

WJPS 12th grader Lorie White said, “I think it’s cool that children’s books are getting movie adaptations, I think it’s really nostalgic for those that read the books to see the story they really enjoyed come to life on screen.”

WJPS 12th grader Mellany Groden said, “I would say that The Bad Guys is a movie that is inventive and creative, the characters and their mission in this movie are fun, light and you will have a good time watching.”
