Nintendo has released a new product in the form of an alarm clock: “Nintendo Alarmo.”
It is a specialized alarm clock made to play sound tracks from featured Nintendo games, such as “Mario Bros,” “Splatoon,” and “The Legend of Zelda” to wake up their users.
It can also track motion using a sensor, to which it will play sound effects from the mentioned games, this is to make the user feel as if they are “waking up” in the game itself.
If you still stay in bed long after the alarm goes off, it will even play more intense tracks from the games to wake you up faster. You can also connect it to the internet, so it can receive updates, and allow more soundtracks from other games to be played.
There are other features including: hourly chimes and sleep stimulating noises to help you fall asleep. The product sells for $100.
WJPS teacher, Mr. Sulea said, “I feel like it’s a questionable product, but Nintendo has always found a way to make success.”
WJPS Computer Technician, Mr. Myrtil said, “If you ask me, we already have alarm clocks on our phones. It feels like Nintendo only wants to capitalize, but more power to them.”
