Recently, Google announced the end of Beta Test 5 of Android 12 and the release of the stable version of Android 12.
Google stated that the stable version of Android 12 would begin to roll out to Pixel phones in the starting from the Pixel 3.
Android 12 brings new customizable features for the consumer to use, such as how widgets and some applications will change colors depending on the user’s background image, and more ways to enhance and improve the user experience with customizing the phone.
Google has planned the creation and release of Android 12 for over a year, with developers being able to review since January, and with the beta having started in May.
Samuel Park, a WJPS senior, said that “It might be one of the most anticipated Android updates ever. In my opinion, the update feels a bit overwhelming.”
Andrea Santoro, a WJPS senior, said that “it is very useful and a big step forward in the development of better android software.”
Asus has announced their schedule for Android 12 to start being given soon to their ROG (Republic of Gamers) and ZenFone devices, and other companies have started to announce their schedules as well.
