Twenty One Pilots Concert Review

The alternative/rap musical duo, Twenty One Pilots recently went on their Blurryface Tour. The two members are Tyler Joseph (vocals) and Josh Dun (drummer). Their most recent album Blurryface was released May 15, 2015. They went on tour with Echosmith and Finish Ticket.
Opening with the song “Heavydirtysoul,” Joseph was filled with energy and excitement. Dun was extremely energetic and looked really happy to be performing. They also sang newer songs like “Stressed Out,” “Ride,” “Lane Boy,” “The Judge,” etc. They had also incorporated songs from their previous two albums such as “Addict with a Pen,” “Goner,” “Guns for Hands,” “Forest,” and “Car Radio.”
Joseph and Dun showed enthusiasm that was truly extraordinary. Both of them wanted to put on a great show and really connect with their audience. In an interview with Billboard magazine Joseph states he has “never been more excited about playing new music than when we start playing some of these new songs.”
Even though the two put on an amazing show, the crowd was extremely roudy. People were constantly being pulled out with panic attacks, anxiety attacks, dehydration, nausea, and the like. The crowd was violent and at times it was difficult for many people to enjoy the music due to the intense pushing and punching.
“They were great. I honestly had so much fun and I had been waiting for a really long time to see them. Now that they are getting really popular, it’s getting more difficult to see them live,” junior Elizabeth Browne said.
Overall, Twenty One Pilots put on a fantastic show. Even though the crowd may have not been the best, the duo did a spectacular job. All of the catchy beats and lyrics really made everyone feel connected.
Joseph really wanted to make everyone feel as one big family. He would tell the fans to put one another on each other’s shoulders and lift them up on big beat drops. It was moments like these that really brought everyone together. Twenty One Pilots gave it their all this tour.
