Hearthstone American Championship Recap

After 9 extensive days of competition, 8 people brought their all and are now qualified for the pre semi-finals, where they will compete for the title of Hearthstone American Champion, a $25,000 prize, and the top 4 even get the chance to move on to BlizzCon and take on 12 others from Europe and Asia. The winner will take home the title of Hearthstone World Champion and a $250,000 grand prize.
Hearthstone is an Online card game based of the popular MMO known as World Of Warcraft created by Blizzard Entertainment. Basically two players construct decks using virtual cards earned from packs and see who can bring down the opponent’s health first.

The American Hearthstone Championship took place between October 10-11 in San Francisco California at Folsom street factory. Doors opened at 10 A.M on saturday where 40 players entered on a first come first serve basis and battled it out all the way till 7 P.M on sunday.
This event was hosted by Esports employee Rachel Quirico. Live commentary was provided by TJ Sanders, Dan Chou, Brian Kibler, Janne Mikkonen, Robert Wing and Andrey Yanyuk.
After a long 2 days, 8 players were able advance on to the Hearthstone World Championship held at Blizzcon in Anaheim, California. Blizzcon will be taken place on November 6-7 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The 8 players who advanced are Vinicius Pupo, Dylan Mullins, Justin Black, Alexandre Sousa, Victor Shelstad, Ryan Root, Jeffrey Shih and Victor Lopez.
