In celebration of Leap Day, families are invited for an evening of math games in the school gym. Leap year will occur on February 29th, 2016.
Ms. Gildea and her 6th graders will be participating by completing the St. Jude Math-a-Thon Fundraiser booklets and presenting math games they have created. Mr. Van Deurs’ Video Game Club will be demonstrating and playing electronic games. Mr. Chin’s students will also be participating in the activities.
“Me and Eurncie made a board game where you have to solve problems and each one you get right you move up [a] space(s),” sixth grader Alexandra Palomeque said.
Teachers are allowed to include their students in the event if wanted.
