Scorch Trials thrills viewers

‘Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials’ is an action-packed movie filled with thrills and adventure. After seeing the recently released movie, viewers were thrilled by how the outcome of the second part of ‘The Maze Runner’ saga was.

“I thought it was more action-filled, and it had a lot of different scenes since the first one is only them in the maze,” junior Mikey Riera said.

Director Wes Ball accurately wrote a screenplay full of different feelings that viewers wouldn’t expect. His film brings out lots of drama, making this one of the top showing movies right now.

The actors also show a lot of emotion from their acting. This movie reveals passion and ends with a cliffhanger that leaves the audience wanting more and wondering what Thomas will do next and how he plans to do it.

Dylan O’Brien plays the main character Thomas, a heroic teenager who takes risks while trying to save his own life. With a pinch of mystery, a sprinkle of thrills and a drop of action, this sequel sends different types of emotions to the viewer. This movie also shows viewers drama and the sequel leaves viewers wanting more of this series.

This movie was good but also a little confusing, because so many things happen at once. With the running and drama happening all at once, a lot of things don’t sink in. It makes the audience wonder what’s happening when something else pops out. There’s much more horror in this film, with the zombie-like Cranks, which are viruses that turn humans into zombie-like creatures.  

“I thought it was a good movie. It really portrayed the story and the reason behind all the running,” seventh grader Natalie Chin said.

Although this film didn’t really meet the expectations of many people who watched the first movie, it’s a good action and thriller movie. This action-packed movie will leave the audience speechless, definitely showing thrills in the movie that are unexpected and leaving their hearts racing.
