Just Dance

Just+Dance

Why doesn’t WJPS take advantage of its spacious gym? A great place for high school students to hold dances is the gym. A dance offers a chance for students to unwind, reconnect, and create lasting memories.

If students choose to dance, they can give their bodies a break from the long hours of sitting still and get some exercise. The dance could be held last period so that students can end the day feeling energized and perhaps even motivated to finish their schoolwork.

The school may hold a fundraiser in which students and staff chip in money to pay a DJ, that way every student can have music that they like. Providing opportunities for students to grow in their social talents, boost positive emotions, and improve their communication skills is essential. Teenagers can connect with kids more amicably and productively by doing this.

To determine whether the majority of students oppose or support holding a dance at school, staff can establish sign-up sheets or polls.

WJPS sophomore, Maya Guadarrama stated, “It provides students with a welcome break from class and homework. We could all go home comfortable and not sore from sitting for an hour if they switched the last class for a dance.”

WJPS sophomore, Ella Anayatian stated, “I support it, it sounds fun and for a time for my friends and I to relax and let loose. The school should offer more fun activities.”
