Classics and Throwbacks

Netflix is adding a plethora of 90 minute movies. Over the pandemic Netflix had a wave of movies that were uploaded since many viewers were stuck at home.

Along with the wave of new movies being added, a lot of other older movies that Netflix had taken off its page have been re-uploaded. Among these movies is Jack and Jill that aired in 2011.

The movie takes place in Jack Sadelstein’s home where his identical twin sister Jill visits her brother for Thanksgiving and extends her stay until after Hanukkah. This is a comedy movie that stars Adam Sandler playing both Jack and Jill in the movie. 

Other movies that have been added include Dennis The Menace, The Little Rascals, Big Daddy, Spiderman, and iCarly. 

WJPS sophomore, Amy Garcia said, “It’s the best thing that has happened to Netflix. I can finally enjoy watching entertaining movies and shows that have not been on Netflix before.” 

WJPS junior, Maleny Argudo stated, “I like that Netflix added back older movies, I love these classic movies. They bring so many memories back and a sense of nostalgia.”
