AI in Art

AI art has recently been increasing in popularity. Platforms like YouTube and Instagram have given them the exposure to be known on the internet. 

While it has been gaining exposure, AI art has been debated when it comes to different artists. The main reason why AI art is so talked about is because of the main debate between people online. Is AI art actual art?

Some people think that AI art is a problem because it lacks authenticity with human creativity.

However, others believe that AI art comes with a few advantages. AI art saves time and money, and it can also serve as starting points or start inspiration for artists. 

WJPS Teacher Ms. Meneses shared, “I think it’s pretty cool. I’m all for it. However, the AI art that plagiarized other artwork and artists, I’m against that part.”

WJPS 10th grader Joseph Weir said, “AI Art is good for people who don’t know how to draw. It helps them express themselves in ways they can’t normally. Though AI art has flooded the market which means real artists aren’t making as much money.”
