Taking a tour Down To Earth

Flight Facilities began their tour in Australia, and now have finally made their way to New York City’s very own Webster Hall. The duo, James Lyell and Hugo Stuart Gruzman, has traveled from country to country after releasing their album, Down To Earth, early this fall.
“I was so excited that Flight Facilities was came all the way to New York. I’ve been waiting for them to come out with an album for forever,” concert goer Tyler Wright said.
While doors opened at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night, Flight Facilities did not get on stage until 9:45. There were two opening acts which included Client Liaison and JDH (dj). Client Liaison kicked off the show, pumping up the crowd with both their music and dance moves. Harvey Miller and Monte Morgan, the members of Client Liaison, set the mood for the night with their insane amount of energy.
As soon as Flight Facilities walked onto the stage, the crowd instantly reacted by screaming and cheering. The duo stood center stage the entire night in their pilot costumes, blasting their songs from the new album. They were joined by two singers that were on and off stage all night, Brooke Addamo (Owl Eyes) and Kurt Kristen.
Both Kristen and Owl Eyes danced across stage every time they came out, occasionally touching hands with fans and singing to specific people in the crowd. A group of fans dressed in pilot costumes, similar to that of Flight Facilities, couldn’t get enough of Owl Eyes and were always reaching for her hand.
For the finale, all performers (Owl Eyes, Kurt Kristen, Client Liaison, and Flight Facilities) were on stage singing and dancing together. Their high levels of energy caused the crowd to erupt and sing along to Africa, originally sang by Karl Wolf.
“When Kurt Kristen came over and touched my hand during the finale it was awesome. Seeing them all together on stage was my favorite part of the night,” senior Melanie Carmona said.
