At WJPS, the senior committee is a club that is only available to students in their final year of high school. The committee has the task of organizing several events for the graduating senior class.

Committee member, Elias Bautista, explained “We plan events for the senior class, we are trying to make senior year memorable because senior year is something we will carry on for the rest of our lives.” 

The recently organized Lower East Side Food Tour is set to take place on May 10th and was organized by senior committee member Robert Wieczorek. This trip will be chaperoned by Ms. Marks, one of WJPS’s English teachers.

Furthermore, committee member Skyy Williams had a hand in organizing the senior act in the talent show. The committee is currently lending a hand in organizing senior prom and other future events.

Another senior committee member, Liona Lin, shared her thoughts behind joining the club, responding with “I wanted to ensure an enjoyable last year of high school for the seniors. Some of us had attended WJPS since sixth grade and there should be a gratifying conclusion to our chapter at WJPS.”
