A total of 36 players were selected for this year’s WNBA draft. The Indiana Fever had the number one pick selecting Caitlin Clark from the University of Iowa.
Clark is a point guard with a total NCAA score of 3,685 points. During her college years, she was elected Naismith Player of the Year twice and was selected to the All-American team three times.
The WNBA Draft brings together the world’s top female players graduating from college for WNBA teams to choose from, which will provide WNBA teams with more lineups and new faces.
WJPS 12th grader, Junhao Ge stated, “I will pay more attention to the NBA, but I heard that a top player was selected by Indiana Fever in this year’s WNBA draft. I am looking forward to her performance in the WNBA.”
