WJPS 2019 Europe Trip

WJPS+2019+Europe+Trip

World Journalism Preparatory School continued its annual tradition as students and staff embarked on their trip to Europe.

This year, attendees of the trip visited the regions of Spain and Portugal. The trip cost approximately $3000 per person, and included meals, hotels, and the round trip via Delta Airlines.

Students, staff, and chaperones were able to depart this past mid-winter break, for 10 days, and have the opportunity to explore the heavily populated, tourist cities of Barcelona and Madrid in Spain, and Lisbon in Portugal.

“I had an amazing time. This trip was definitely one to remember. I got to spend time with my close friends, and build new bonds with teachers and classmates that I never imagined becoming close with. I expected so much out of this trip, and I ended up receiving so much more. It was magical,” awed Amelia Baffo, WJPS junior.

Approximately 40 individuals attended this year’s trip. The school staff members included Dr. Werner, Mr. Petrotta, Ms. Poulos, Mr. Gardner, Ms. Shields, Ms. Kiousenterlis, and Mr. Myrtil.

“The trip surpassed my expectations by far. It was a perfect combination of history, culture, art, and recreation. Everything was just so perfectly paced. The most memorable events of the trip are between bicycle touring Barcelona, and learning to Flamenco dance in Madrid. It was a wonderful experience,” said Dr. Werner.

The annual trip is open to any student in WJPS who wishes to travel. If you’re interested in traveling be on the lookout for next year’s trip, which is usually announced in the spring.
