To kick off the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night football on September 5th. It will be a rematch from last year’s AFC championship.
Then on Sunday there will be a full NFL slate including an international game which will be held in Brazil. The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers will play each other.
The New York Giants play the Minnesota Vikings on the first Sunday of the year, while the New York Jets take on the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers on Monday night September 9th.
WJPS 11th grader George Tsiakas said, “I can’t wait to see Aaron Rodgers play Monday Night Football against the 49ers and hopefully he can stay healthy and go on a full year this year and see what the Jets’ record is.”
WJPS 11th grader Carlos Sevilla said, “Let’s see how the rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy does against the Giants in week one especially since their defense has gotten scarier from last year.”
