Creepy clowns, scary screams, and mysterious fog were present in the first annual Haunted Hallway hosted by the students.
Students in the Haunted Hallway committee opened up half the third floor and connected all the rooms together using garbage bags to create a longer hallway that included different themed rooms.
Themed rooms included the Asylum, the Carnival, and the hallway itself. Viewers passed through each room to experience screams and thrills as the scarers jumped up and out at them.
“The best part was when we were going through the science room [the Asylum] and this little girl was spinning around,” middle schooler Alexandria Hartill said. Sweet and cute little kids turned into some of the scariest monsters during an unforgettable night.
Committee members believed that the Hallway was a great success due to the number of tickets bought and the overall excitement everyone had while walking through.
“We sold over 100 tickets and weirdly, there were more grownups than kids. A lot of the teachers came, so that was fun,” senior Daria Lee said.
As a part of the whole night, there was a pre-show done by all committee members. There was a vocal performance by Aliyah Cortez and a few juniors. The big part included a dance from Thriller by Michael Jackson which involved the iconic movements and some ballet movements.
Due to the success, there are high hopes that the Haunted Hallway will become an annual tradition.
