A new school year means a new middle school soccer season at WJPS. With the new season comes new aspirations for the team.
WJPS teacher and coach Mr. Sulea said, “Spreading good energy for the team is the primary goal, instilling confidence, focusing on growth for our players, and making sure they learn from their mistakes.”
The team remains confident and has their spirits high.
WJPS seventh grader and midfielder Lucinda Ortiz said, “we have to make sure everyone stays positive and focuses on what the team can improve on.”
Sulea has very high praise for the team and mentioned some of the key players.
Mr. Sulea said, “In general, I see a lot of potential in this team but I’d like to shout out a few of the players. Emanuel Almeida in eighth grade is very mature and is an amazing soccer player with a lot of skill.”
“In seventh grade Lucinda Ortiz is an amazing player, and is a great midfielder. In sixth grade Alvin Mozola, is a player with great potential, has confidence, and once he develops his maturity he’ll become a phenomenal player.”
