We have been cruel to our mother.
Lost touch with our sisters and brothers.
Our mother is dying,
Yet we are barely trying,
To bring her back to life.
But despite all the strife,
Mother will prevail,
As she always does, without fail.
Without her we would fall,
Because she cares for us all.
Despite this we do not care.
We steal instead of share.
Killing the hand that feeds,
To fulfill our own creed.
It is her that we have forsaken,
Action needs to be taken,
As we create our damned machines,
She provides us with water and greens,
But what we have yet to realize,
Is that if we were to die,
Mother would live on,
From dusk to dawn,
We are her children of birth.
The name of our mother is Earth.
