NBA Season Kick Off

The beginning of October marked the start of the NBA preseason and training camps for the 2015-2016 year. NBA players are gearing up for the start of the regular season on October 27th.

The first three games begin with the Detroit Pistons facing the Atlanta Hawks at the Philips Arena, the Cleveland Cavaliers vs the Chicago Bulls at the United Center, and the last game of the night, the New Orleans Pelicans face off last year champions, Golden state Warriors at Oracle Arena.
Students share their enthusiasm for the start of the new season, looking forward to watching returning players and their favorite teams.

“I am definitely excited about the start of the regular NBA season. I am mostly excited for the return of Kevin Durant. The game I am mostly [excited] for is the Bulls vs Cavs game,” sophomore Syed Khabir said.

“I am excited for the NBA season, because it’s a really fun time of the year. New athletes coming into the league and seeing the old athletes, seeing what they can do and how they improved. I am excited to watch the Bulls vs Cavs game. They are one of the most athletic teams and having amazing stars,” senior Randy Charter said.

“I can’t wait for the season because it’s interesting to see the teams coming back and see how they developed. I really want to see the Warriors vs Pelicans because some of the top NBA stars going against each other like Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis,” junior Andrew  Deonarine said.
