NHL Postseason

The NHL playoffs are kicking off on April 18th. 16 teams will be there. The winner of last year’s Stanley Cup was the Las Vegas Golden Knights who are a borderline playoff team right now.

Now hockey playoffs are a little different then other sports because each and every  round is out of seven games which means the first team to win four games advances to the next round.

In other words, you will need 16 playoff wins to become the champion. Also, if a team is on the edge of making the playoffs but are tied with the same amount of points as the other team, then it will be decided by who has more overtime losses.

WJPS 11th grader Russell Nazamy predicted, “The Florida Panthers will win the Stanley Cup because they’re the favorites right now.”

Meanwhile, WJPS 11th grader George Tsiakias said, “The Vancouver Canucks will win the Stanley Cup because as of right now they have the most points in the NHL.”
