Manny Pacquiao who recently went against the Undefeated Money Man, Floyd Mayweather in the Fight of the Century, has had arthroscopic surgery on his injured right shoulder.

Pacquiao aka Pacman lost one of the biggest fight in his career when he went into the ring with an injured shoulder expecting to become the new title holder. Pacquiao did not inform the Nevada State Athletic Commission about his injury. Pacquiao might face legal action against him where this could lead to suspension and a fine due to the failure of notifying the medical staff and lying when questioned by the Commission. The Nevada State Athletic Commission had no knowledge of the injury and only found out a few hours before the match with Mayweather.

“Pacquiao should have common sense because if you get into a fight with an injury, you will obviously lose,” sophomore Mikey Riera said.

Mayweather said in an upcoming interview with Showtime that at this moment he’s not interested in a rematch with Pacquiao “because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward.”

Dr. Neal ElAttrache, a well-known orthopedic surgeon performed a 90-minute procedure to repair Pacquiao’s torn rotator cuff. Dr. ElAttrache said he could not be “more pleased with the results.

“He lost,” Mayweather said. “He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.”

“A lot of Pacquiao fans felt cheated when they found out he had an injury prior to the fight,” junior Joshua Vergara said.

If the surgery goes well and the rehab is successful, Pacquiao  could be back to training in about six months. At that point he will be regaining strength and endurance and competition is reasonable within nine months to a year,” El Attrache told ESPN.com on Monday. “But this is a severe enough tear that it won’t heal without being repaired.”  He estimates that Pacquiao will not be able to fight again for nine months to a year but is expected to make a full recovery.

When Mayweather was asked if he would have a rematch with Manny Pacquiao he responded. “Yeah, but I change my mind,” Mayweather said. “At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward. If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter.’”
