With the mid year second term coming to a close, students are once again starting to work on their e-portfolio for when they present them in front of their parents.

This school has used e-portfolio since they opened up and have started to use this new Pupilpath e-portfolio beginning this year. Many outside administration and even other schools have expressed their interest and admiration about the schools portfolio system.

“I always like to show the students off. We are the best school out there and I like the students to know how far ahead of the world we are. [By inviting people] it gives students different audiences to give feedback so that we can grow individually, as a group, and as a school,” Principal Mrs. Schneider said.

A special visitor, Carmen Farina, the NYC Schools Chancellor, will be coming to visit the school during e-portfolio conferences to witness first hand the effectiveness of e-portfolio presentations to parents.

“She [Farina] is a big proponent of student led conferences and I invited her. She wants to see the students and the conferences. This will give students continuous improvement and raise the level of urgency,” Mrs. Schneider said.
