Juniors Should Leave School Early

Most seniors leave school early, but juniors can’t do the same. They are also upperclassmen and some juniors have jobs.

Students being able to leave school earlier can give them the opportunity to take college classes or work. Some students may live with a family member who’s sick and they need to take care of them.

Junior Maya Guadarrama said, “It depends on the students because there are some that haven’t fulfilled the requirements for graduation so they would need to stay in school and finish.“

Junior Ariana Lucin said, “No, because I think we should hold on to our youth for as long as we can and then our senior year is going to be way better because we can leave early.“

Junior Jane Castrejon said, “junior year is stressful and there’s a lot of work to do. It’s really time consuming, some extra time for ourselves would be nice.” 

A solution for this would be for the students that meet the requirements to be able to leave early, such as honor students and students who are almost done with their credits. Students might be more motivated to do their work so that they will be able to leave early.
