Build-A-Buddy is an event that will take place in the library during seventh period lunch on June 13th. To participate in the event, students needed to fill out a form and pay $20 per stuffed animal. The event is being handled by the WJPS club Campus Pride and physical education teacher, Ms. Smith. 

WJPSnNinth grader and president of Campus Pride, Stephanie Papadopoulos, said “Campus Pride is about being prideful and being an ally to the LGBT community. To give a sense of support and community for all students.” 

The proceeds of the event will be donated to the Candle Lighters charity, which supports the families of children with cancer. 

WJPS teacher and charity organizer Ms. Smith said,“The Campus Pride club has been trying to put a fundraiser together since March just to raise money for either our club or a charity. With Pride month June first, for our last throw for the year we are going to put some positivity into the world.”
