Yearbook: In Review

Yearbook%3A+In+Review

WJPS has three publication classes offered to seniors; newspaper, broadcast and yearbook. Yearbook is a class dedicated to creating a book containing moments and memories from the current senior class’ high school years.

Ms. Laverda, WJPS yearbook teacher explained, “The students produce a yearbook to basically highlight the WJPS community and the events throughout the school year as well as special moments for the senior class. It is a lifelong memento of their time at WJPS.”

Students gather photos of clubs and events like the international feast, spirit weeks, and halloween to be placed in the book. Besides highlighting events and clubs, students can also propose projects to Ms. Laverda who will have the final say on whether or not it will go into the final product.

The yearbook class has come up with projects like super siblings, teacher and student superlatives, senior snaps and crop cam.

Yearbook editor Jessica DeRosa commented, “Yes, I would recommend this class to other students, seeing all your work accumulate into a final product is gratifying especially since we can keep the final product.”
