Many new teachers have joined WJPS this year, including Ms. Naula, joining the school community as a new Spanish teacher.

She has taught in a variety of different middle schools throughout her career and was looking for a chance to teach a more mature type of student. “I wanted to come here and teach a group that could better understand the topic and also I wanted to be a part of the team that needed someone with the experience.”

Ms. Naula also discussed that she has a lot of experience with the language since she is Hispanic herself and it will be an advantage for how she teaches the students. “I want to encourage each and every one of my students to learn the language not just by reading it and pronouncing it, but also through the culture.”

Alejandro Ortiz, a WJPS junior, commented “She’s a very helpful teacher who has taught me a lot in the few months I had her, but I hope she can show me enough to learn for the future.”

Ms. Naula can be found teaching in various rooms on the third floor at WJPS.
